Eye of the Storm Quilted Table Mat or Wall Hanging #2 of 4
Tuesday, June 03, 2014
1:00-4:00 p.m.
Cost: $45 for 4 classes
This Eye of the Storm quilt uses the kaleidoscope technique to transform a floral print into something that looks like a churning wind gust, or a happily spinning pinwheel. This free pattern has detailed instructions that show you exactly where to cut your triangles in the pattern repeat. In the end, you piece together big blocks and each octagon has a unique and different design. You will have lots of fun sewing this table topper or wall hanging! It could even be used as a baby quilt in the right colors. It finishes at around a 39″ square.
Class #1 (May 27)–cutting and piecing the quilt blocks. Class #2 (June 3)–putting the blocks together. Class #3 (June 10)–machine quilting. Class #4 (June 17)–binding, labeling, and finishing the quilt.
