Zippers – How to Make Them Great

Almost all machines come with a zipper foot and we show it to you because there are so many ways to put a zipper in.

This class covers what the pattern directions don’t tell you about installing a zipper.  Students will do 3-4 zipper application. They include

  • Invisible zipper – can be used in apparel, home dec, and craft project construction
  • Basic lapped home dec zipper application
  • Fly front zipper – apparel. This is Sandra Betzina’s fly front – so much easier than any pattern instruction
  • Craft zipper application for lined bags. This can also be accomplished with a serger.

Embroidery Club – August Afternoon

August is all about finishing those UPs  (Unfinished Projects). For some reasons, these seem to be the bane of many husbands’ existence. Look at those projects and sort them by type. This is Embroidery Club; so we will focus on the embroidery aspect of any project you have yet to complete.  Look at what we have done this year and last and let’s get it done!

All caught up but want to take advantage of trying something that you want a hand with – possible topics

Endless embroidery – endless embroidery hoop

Endless embroidery – regular hoop

Cutwork on a t-shirt – ooo a little scary

Just come in for question and answer session

Please call 734-975-4525 to sign up for class. There are still issues with the calendar scheduler.
