July Diamond/Ruby Club- Name Tags

Learn how to bring stitches from the sewing side over to the embroidery side to make a label for a quilt or name tag on the Diamond or Ruby.  We will also have a demonstration on how to make name tags with 6D software.

July Software Club- Cross Stitch

Doris has been playing with the cross stitch program in the software.  Learn how to design your own cross stitch pattern, use a traditional cross stitch color chart and more.  She has tips on how to embroider the project on linen and aida cloth. If don’t have 5D Pro or 6D Premier, but would like to find out more about cross stitch on the embroidery machine, this class is for you.  Bring your laptop with software and dongle or use the store computer, and bring a USB flash drive.

July Embroidery Club- Quilted Hot Pad

Play with the 6D Quilt Block Wizard and the Express Design Wizard and make a quilted hot pad. We will take a clipart design, make an appliqué design and then design the quilting around it.  We will then use the embroidery machine and stitch it out. These will make great personalized gifts for the holidays.  If you do not have 6D Extra or Premier Software, our store computer may be used.

You may bring a laptop with Organizer already installed, but it is not required.  Please download and install the program of your choice before class, if you are bringing your laptop.

Do NOT bring your embroidery machine  to this class.  You may want to bring your USB key.

LEARN FLAT-FELLED SEAMS

EVERYONE is welcome to come in, try and learn this technique!

9 mm Flat-felled seams such as the typical jeans seams are extremely durable and popular. They add a decorative touch when sewn with a contrasting thread. Best results will be achieved on medium to heavy weight fabrics.
While either side of the seam can be the right side, we chose to have the side with the single row of stitching be our right side.

Please bring your embroidery machine,  embroidery unit, USB embroidery stick  and your computer if it is a laptop.  This class is for our Diamond and Ruby and Topaz 50 owners.
