Introduction to Foot of the Month Quilt
This is an introduction class to show you the actual quilt and help you with color choices. You will get an idea of the various presser feet and accessories we will be using in the different blocks. Don’t want to make the quilt? Just sign up for the classes that will use the particular feet/accessories you are interested in learning about. We will also discuss what day/time will work best for the majority of interested participants. There will be no charge for this class. The other classes will be $15 each, plus supplies. Owners Class 1 – Basic Operation
Machine Introduction
This class is an introduction to your new sewing machine. Learn the basic features of your machine including how to create buttonholes and do a blind hem. Please bring your machine, all accessories, power cord, foot control, machine user’s guide, and sewing thread. Don’t forget pen and paper to take notes.

Creative Embroidery–Classy Linen Pillow
Making this pillow will help you to learn how to arrange and position a design 3X, use a 1/4″ piecing foot, pin tucking foot, button foot with placement tool, and invisible zipper foot while you apply an invisible zipper. You will also use some of your standard feet. The design is from the Husqvarna Viking “Line Art Flowers” embroidery collection #263.

Sew Young Sew Fun–Sun Hat
Make this reversible hat to keep your face and shoulders shaded from the sun. Use different colors so that you can use it with lots of outfits, hence, the benefits of its being reversible.

- Sewing machine* and all of its parts if you are using your machine.
- If you are using one of our classroom sewing machines, you will need a bobbin. If you do not already have a size 15J bobbin at home, they are available for $.75 in the Viking Sewing Gallery.*
- 3 fat quarters of colors of cotton fabric (If you want your hat to have a crown with the same fabric as the brim, you will need 4fat quarters (two of one color and two of another color) or ½ yd. of two fabrics. If you prefer to buy yardage, you will need ½ yard of two coordinating fabrics instead of the fat quarters.
- ½ yd. of quilt and craft batting (Get the Pellon version in the interfacing section of JoAnn’s. It has a green label.)
- 1 spool of Gutermann or Metler* all-purpose sewing thread to match your fabric
- Pinking shears if you have some. If you do not have any, you may borrow ours.

Lacy Denim Skirt
Make a cute skirt for school or church by sewing panels of fabric and lace together. Learn how to finish the edges of seams to prevent raveling, and make a casing for an elastic waistband in the back of the skirt.

- ½ yd. denim
- ¼ yd. lace or other fabric for the inverted pleats
- All-Purpose sewing thread to match (Gutermann or Metler is recommended for best results.)

American Girl Sewing Class

While not technically a foot, the Circular Attachment is a lot of fun to play with, and that is what the Foot Club is all about; playing with your machine! The new Circular Attachment will fit on all the current Designer machines. There are circular attachments for older machines ; they just don’t come with the measurements or templates.

Christmas JOY Wallhanging
This wall hanging can be made using regular machine applique, or embroidery applique–your choice. This class will most likely be a little longer than our usual classes, so make sure to bring a beverage and snacks, if you feel it will be necessary. You can view the project on the singersewingco.com website under Projects and Designs tab. We will be making some adaptations to the project, but the result will be just a festive!! As a result of the changes, however, you will not need all of the supplies listed, please call and double check the supply list if you are attending.

Let’s make some new placemats. You can make them for the Christmas holidays, the autumn season, or to coordinate with your kitchen décor. In this class we will use the new!Double-sided Fusible Placemat Forms. They make it so easy to have consistent size and shape in every placemat!!!

This is a two part class, offered either in the evening (Tuesday) or morning (Friday). It is a great way to learn or improve on quilting techniques with a little bit of embroidery tossed in. This would be a great opportunity if you do not have an embroidery machine to try out one of our beautiful new machines! The pattern includes embroidery designs for the center of the off-set squares. The samples in the store are for Christmas (“Christmas in July”) but there are designs for “all seasons”.
The cost of the two classes is just $30, plus pattern and supplies. Supply list and instruction for preparing fabric will be provided when class is paid for. Space is limited, so sign up early. Second classes will be in July.

6D Stitch Editor Plus
This class is for the 6D Premier owner as well as 6D Embroidery or 6D Embroidery Extra owners that have purchased the Stitch Editor Plus.
If you do not yet own 6D Software but would like to observe, you are welcome to do so!
You will need to bring your laptop with your 6D software installed and 6D dongle unless you are just observing!

In this class, you will learn to embroidery on a t-shirt using an embroidery design from your machine !

August Owner’s Class Three – Embroidery Basics
This is the beginning of the wonderful things you will be able to create embroidering with our Husqvarna Viking machines. You will receive basic instruction on how to achieve beautiful embroidery using your new Husqvarna Viking embroidery machine. Please bring your machine, embroidery unit, USB stick with designs, design book, bobbin filled with bobbin fill and embroidery thread.
