Creative Class – Split Nine Patch Quilt Class #2

Split Nine Patch Quilt

In this 2-day class you will learn how to piece a Split Nine Patch block, and in particular, how to make half square triangles. We will also explore different possible settings for your blocks. Then you will learn how to use your embroidery machine to quilt your finished top or pillow. We will use a combination of embroidery designs and decorative stitches with the circular attachment to accomplish this. You will have the choice to incorporate free motion stippling.

For the finishing touch you will learn to apply hot fix crystals to your top.

You have the option of making a 16-block quilt or a 4-block pillow. The size of your blocks will depend on what embroidery machine you have. For a Topaz 25 the blocks will be 8” unfinished. For machines that accept 200 mm wide hoops, it will be 9 ½” unfinished.
