Baby bonnets made out of handkerchiefs have become very popular baby shower gifts and with our embroidery machines, we can make any design that we want to customize our gift even more.

We may go with cutwork design also.

X-Stitch embroidery

We worked on digitizing x-stitch designs so no it is time to see what we created……..

X-stitch Embroidery will be done on the Aida cloth-14 count, to create coasters or ornaments.

Quilt Block of the month #6

Block 6

 

For block 6, we will do foundation piecing. The pattern is marked on stabilizer, fabric is added, decorative stitching done using the Multi-Line Decorative foot, and then, the stabilizer is torn away, leaving a pretty block!

Students will learn how use the embroidery features of their machine.

Diamond Tecniques

This class is only for the Designer Diamond owners which uses the different techniques that are in the machine that allow you to do more precision stitching.    Design and lettering shaping gives you the ability to change the way the design or lettering stitches out.  Applique technique allows you to actually put on the applique easily.

6D Software Owner’s Class #1

GETTING STARTED WITH CONFIGURE/EXPLORER PLUG-IN

 

This class will address the new look of 6D and will cover the basic use of Configure.  Included is an in-depth look at how Explorer Plug-In works in comparison to 5D Organizer.  This covers both searching and organizing your design files.  We will create a design of a sign for a sewing room using the tools in Quick Font and the letters wizard.

 

Attendees need to bring a laptop loaded with their programs, a mouse, power cable, dongle, flash drive, note paper, and pen.

 

This class is for those with the following modules of software.  Anyone interested in upgrading their software is welcome to attend and observe the class.

  • 6D Embroidery

Heirloom Club: Sampler Heirloom Quilt – Block 7

The sampler heirloom quilt will consist of nine blocks.  Each block will feature a different heirloom technique.  The  seventh block will feature  “Notched Tucks”  technique.

My making this project, you will learn how to:

Wall Organizer

Decorative Stitching–Viking Owner’s Class #2

You have all of those fancy stitches on your new machine, but do you know how to use them?  We will teach you to appliqué and to program a stitch sequence that can be saved in the memory function of your machine.  You’ll even learn to do basic applique’, free motion quilting and some heirloom techniques with the twin needles and wing needles!

 

Bring your sewing machine, foot control, power cord, all of the accessories that came with your machine, owner’s manual, scissors, two spools of 40 wt. rayon embroidery thread, extra 80/12 or 90/14 universal needles, a bobbin wound with bobbin thread, a twin needle, a wing needle, paper and pen for notes and your eye glasses (if you need them).   Embroidery machine owners do not need to bring the embroidery unit or hoops for this class.

The wonderful world of embroidery is now available to you with your new machine!  You will learn how to set it up for embroidery,  load a design onto the machine, determine the appropriate stabilizers, hoop the project, and  stitch out the design.

 

Please bring your sewing machine, the embroidery unit, foot control, power cord, all of the accessories and hoops that came with your machine, the USB stick that came with the machine, owner’s manual, scissors, 2-3 spools of 40 wt. rayon embroidery thread, size 75 embroidery needle or a 90 topstitch needle, a bobbin wound with bobbin thread, paper and pen for notes and your eye glasses (if you need them).

 

In order for us to start class on time, please arrive 5-10 minutes before class is to begin to allow you to have time to set up.
