Learn some more advanced garment making techniques with a fitted skirt. Your pattern selection should include: darts, a waistband or waist facing, and a zipper closure. Three different zipper installation methods (centered, lap, and invisible) will be taught. If you want to experiment with all three, please bring 2 9” all-purpose coil zippers and a 7”-9” invisible zipper and ¼ yard extra fabric.

-a fitted skirt pattern (darts, waistband or facing, zipper opening)

Learn the very basics of garment sewing by making this simple skirt that can be made in any size without a pattern.

-Woven cotton fabric that has been laundered. The amount depends on the length you want to make your skirt. If your hips are 42” or less you will need your finished length plus 5” of 45” or 60” wide fabric. (E.g.: if you want a skirt that is 22” long, you will need 25” of fabric). If your hips are greater than 42” you will need double your length plus 5” of 45” wide fabric or your finished length plus 5” of 60” wide fabric).

BASIC EDITING and STITCH EDITOR PLUS
This class will show you how to use Stitch Editor to edit and optimize your designs. We will also create a new embroidery by using some of the 2600 designs that are included in the software and will touch on the use of the Split Project Wizard and Design Aligner to split large projects to fit into smaller hoops.
Attendees need to bring a laptop loaded with their programs, a mouse, power cable, dongle, flash drive, note paper, and pen.
This class is for those with the following modules of software. Anyone interested in upgrading their software is welcome to attend and observe the class.
