You can then sign up to continue your learning with another four week session where you will create a top with set in sleeves, the instructors are available to help pick your pattern and give advice on fabric choices.
Further continuation of this series will teach you to put in a zipper, a great skill to learn that can be applied to clothing as well as tote bags and pillows. After completion of this series of classes you may continue to enjoy your new found or refreshed sewing skills completing garments or projects of your choice with the teachers available for assistance when you need them.

Make a sweet cosmetic bag, or a great class catch all bag using the Join and Fold Foot. We made this project a few years ago, and it was always a favorite! Sample is in the store.
When you finish the bag, you will have used the foot in several different ways (showing all the techniques)

Rayon Thread, Bobbin thread, Tear-A-Way Light Stabilizer, 1/2 yard natural colored linen or other for base fabric, 1/3 yard each of two different pieces of 3/8′-1/2″ wide Ribbon, 1/3 yard of 1″ wide Eyelet Trim, 1/3 yard of 1″ wide Crocheted Trim, Edge Joining Foot, White sewing thread, Heavy Duty Zipper 12″ or longer.
Cut linen (or base fabric) : One strip 2 1/2″ wide x 12″, Two strips 1/2″ wide x 12″, One piece 10″ wide x 16″ for outer fabric, One piece 10″ wide x 16″ for lining, Two bias strips 10″ X 2 1/2″ for binding.
In this class we will discuss and perform embroidery on towels. The techniques we use to embroider towels, are easy and fun, and will boost your confidence in making a towel for a gift or for yourself to enjoy!

You will receive an American Girl kit filled with trims, ribbons, and beads to embellish a white tote. You will be sewing the trims and ribbons onto the tote with a sewing machine. Then you will learn to hand sew to attach sparkly beads. You will have the greatest tote to carry around…and you are the one who made it fancy! This class is for any girl who would like to learn to use a sewing machine–yes, it is for beginning sewists. Bring white sewing thead, sewing pins, a pin cushion, a hand-sewing needle, a pair of scissors, and a thimble.

The Foot of the Month Quilt is back! Block #6- Spanish Hem Foot!
Each month, we will complete one block using one or more specialty Viking feet. After all 12 blocks are complete, we piece and quilt it! This beautiful completed quilt was done by Judy Foster:
