Create a quick window topper for any size window.  These are so easy you might want to make them for each month or holiday in the year.  We will use the coverstitch to create casings for the drawstring cords.  Please let us know if you don’t have the coverstitch on your machine so we might have one available for your use.

I’ve been making these for many years now and have learned many tricks along the years that make your bag last the long haul. we’ll also be installing an invisible zipper in our hidden pocket. Now that you have a new Viking or Singer sewing machine, it’s time to plug it in and start sewing! But first, come to this free class to learn how to wind a bobbin, thread the machine and sew a straight line. Beginning sewing Techniques necessary first.

Learn how to cut out a pattern, right of grain placement, hemming, waistband etc.  You will complete a pair of PJ Pants in this class.

The focus of this class will be to learn how to use the new Circular Attachment. We will make a unique giraffe wall hanging. The Circular Attachment can be used with all Series 7 machines. You can sew simple circles, flowers, and parts of circles without tedious measurements.  Please call store for a supply list.

Learn to use your machines’s decorative stitches, and how to program on your new machine. Please bring your machine, accessories, manual, sewing thread, scissors, notebook and pen. Located at the Essex County Fairgrounds, the Vermont Quilt Festival is an international event that you don’t want to miss!

This class will introduce you to our professional embroidery software and its different modules, so you can learn to create your own designs.

Create a embroidery design using 5DDesign Creator and 5DQuilt Designer that you can stitch out using different fabrics to create four separate panels, each representing a different season. You’ll use Design Creator to make an appliqued tree with appliqued leaves, and Designer to create a stippled background. This is the first class, and we’ll have one class each month (yes, you will have homework!) until it is done. This class will give you a whole set of tools to make your own original designs into beautiful quilts.  You’ll only need to bring your computer to this first class, as you’ll create the design. Check out Karen’s sample in the store on your next visit — you’ll love it!

This is a hands-on class where you’ll learn to make perfect circles using the new Viking Circular Attachment. Bring four fat quarters, stabilizer, and your Sew Steady table if you have one. Class is free with the purchase of the Circular Attachment.

This class will walk you through the basic steps of Husqvarna Viking 6D embroidery software.  We will show you how to resize, add lettering and many more features of this wonderful software.
