Zippers and Buttonholes

In this class you will learn the easiest ways to put in a regular zipper and even an invisible zipper! In addition you will learn how to make buttonholes on your machine and how to sew a button onto your project using your machine. Please bring a 7” regular zipper, a 7” invisible zipper, and thread.

Use the  5D™ Embroider Express Design Wizard to create a Logo for Shirt from a piece of clip art and then create a design that is 16″ square and split it to fit into hoops you have with markings to assist you in the stitch out.

Pre-requisite – Must have taken the Patriotic Circles 5D Fun class in May

Now that you have created the Patriotic Circles in your 5D, let’s sew it out.  Learn to do the placement of that large design that we ran through the Split Project Wizard in the Patriotic Circles class.

This baby pillow features Classic Script Monogram & Designs by Martha Stewart. The technique will be a MadeiraApplique on a flanged pillow. Call for supply list.

The QuickFont Wizard contains many options for stitch types in Fonts, including Satin, Fill, Applique and more! Explore how font sets change when you select different options. Experiment with font variations based on size, density, stitch style and more as you create ready-to-use system fonts for your 5D™ Embroidery or Embroidery Extra module!

6D® Software Owners

Designer Club will be the 4th Saturday of the Month , from 10:00-12:00. This is a great way to learn all of the aspects of your wonderful machine. Each month we will be using a special technique, either sewing or embroidery or both.May 25 we will be making a summer tote bag.  We will sew on screening and use the endless hoop.  This club is open to all machine owners.  When signing up you will get a supply list.  Cost is $10.  Supplies and Kits are extra.

Saturday May 11th, is foot club. It will continue to be a lecture-demo, with you bringing in your show n tell Everyone is invited to come learn to use Husqvarna Viking feet. The theme for May is invisible and narrow zipper feet, our seam guide and elastic guide foot. I will show you all the feet that help make your projects a little easier and to add a professional finish! Take advantage of these ongoing classes to get full value of your machine. No need to sign up or bring your machine just come with a show n tell. If you don’t have a show n tell that’s ok too.

May 4th is Diamond Club. We will be using the very many techniques that this outstanding machine can do. You need to own a Diamond or Diamond Deluxe.

This month we will explore CUTWORK. There are 2 different ways to achieve this look. We will do both. We will use small sharp scissors and then the next exclusive way is using the cutwork needles. We will add this unique look to a T-Shirt and napkin.
