This class is an introduction to your serger. Learn the basic features of your machine including how to thread your machine and overlock. Coverstitch will be included in Owners Class Two. Please bring your machine, accessories, machine owner’s manual, and serger thread.

This is super fun we’ll be taking a small piece of duct cloth and embellishing it with emb and adding some Velcro. Well be making the handle with the double welt cord foot and the fast turn set and showing you some tricks to make it really durable! You’ll need to bring 10 inches of duct cloth and 2 yards of 3/16th filler cord and one spool of contrast emb. or cotton quilting thread for your line art emb. design.

We will review 1/4″ piecing with foot, stippling with built in stitches, handlook quilting with machine and some free motion stitching. bring your machine, new needles, cotton sewing thread, invisible thread, bobbins, 10 or 12″ fabric “sandwiches” (fabric, thin batting, fabric) to practice different techniques (you will need at least 2), and feet for quilting; 1/4″ piecing foot, R foot, free motion echo quilting foot, open toe free motion spring foot and sensor Q foot. There are 2 classes to choose from; one on Tuesday, July 9, 6-8:30 PM or on Saturday, July 13, 1:30-4;00 PM. Class fee is $5.00 Ruby owners welcome, but please let me know you are bringing Ruby.

A Place in the Sun is Jenny Haskins latest greatest and easiest design set and book is here! this design packet and book have made it easy by actually stitching all of your quilting in the hoop! This is a special class, we have reserved the JoAnn’s classroom, and this class is only available for 8 people you must have a Viking emb. machine with at least a 200×200 hoop, I can only reserve two floor model machines for this class. There will be more sessions available at later dates, and at an only $10 class in class you’ll be completing and following the book with a few little notes from Patti. Must buy the book for class and get a class discount when you sign up! You must load your designs on your USB stick prior to class, supply list is in the book. Bring a snack and a water bottle cause this is going to be a long one!
