Embroidery club for August will be embroidering on Mylar.

Dianna has done some very pretty Christmas ornaments using various designs on Mylar.

This class will be a “Lecture/Demo”. You will not need your machine.

Ruffled Apron

Are you a beginner sewer? Then this class will introduce you to the wonderful world of sewing. In this class you will learn to sew a buttonhole, make ruffles, and sew on a button by machine, along with other basic sewing techniques. This class requires only one yard of 60 inch wide home dec fabric.

Monogrammed Jewelry Bag Embroidery Class

Stop by the store to see Patti’s pretty sample of a multi-compartmental drawstring bag. If you don’t have an embroidery machine you can try one of ours for this special class. Be sure to pick up your supply list early. Class size is limited.

Applique Pillow #3 of 3

Learn to applique on your machine by placing a 3D bear pattern on fabric. Included in the class is the bear pattern. Incorporated in the class is applying cording to the pillow, making button holes and sewing on buttons with your machine.

Endless Hoop Technique Class

Sandy will show you how to create an endless design in your 5D software; then, you get to stitch it out! The technique is easy. Once you know how, you will be creating loads of endless designs on your tablecloths, jeans, sheet sets and more. (no computer necessary–but be sure to bring your usb embroidery stick).

Viking Club – Ironing Board Caddy

Ironing Board Caddy

This month we will use the Over All Embroidery design stitched out in Embroidery Club to create a caddy that hangs on the end of your embroidery board. The caddy is designed to keep the tools you need close at hand when you are ironing. This class is also open to those that did not attend embroidery club. Choose fabric and colors to match your creative space or just go with whatever makes you smile!

Decorator Pillow with Heirloom Accents – Sept 22, 2013

You’ll be creating a beautiful linen pillow that features

pintucks – we’ll even let you play with your tension (no knuckle rapping in this class)
an invisible zipper – yep, you need a foot
piping you make and decorate – yep, piping foot for this
ribbon trim and button applications.

The black flowers are October Embroidery Club. The pillow without the embroidery can stand on its own.

This project has been designed to enhance your skill levels and help you think outside the box when playing with your machine.

5D Extra New Intermediate Class Group II

We will use our Motifs, Frames and Mini Designs to create quilt blocks. We can incorporate letters from the Letter tab and make alphabet quilt blocks.

5D Extra New Beginners Class & Review

All 5D owners can do this class.

The Motif tab will be featured this month. Learn how to use a single machine stitch with Encore and Endless to make beautiful embroideries. Mini Designs are also part of the Motif tab, learn some of the ways to use to incorporate the Mini Designs into your designs. We will create a little wall hanging for friends.

5D Pro Class II – Family Tree Module

The Family Tree Module will be featured this month. It is a great program and can be used to create a simple or complex family tree. You will learn how to add frames, lettering and pictures.

*Optional – Bring your own family names if you want to start creating a personal “tree”.

5D Quilt Design Creator

Learn how to add the extra steps to allow you to add the batting for Trapunto to your quilt blocks. It will make it easy to add extra dimension to your quilt block.

5D Pro Class 1 – Stitch Editor +

Stitch Editor+ allows us to change a Satin Fill Property to a Regular fill property. This is something that has not been possible in our software before. We will also learn to change stitches to objects in SE+

Quilt Club: Blocks 15 and 16 – Stars

We are continuing with our 2012 Craftsy Block of the Month. This is month 9! Only a couple more and we can assemble our quilt top. Anyone is welcome to join us even if you haven’t been taking these classes all along however this class is for owners of Husqvarna Viking Sewing/Embroidery machines.

Stars seem to be everybody’s favorite! They are fun placed between other styles of blocks as fillers or accents. They are stunning all by themselves. So play and make bunches of them. This month we will be making half and quarter square triangles and flying geese. How would you want to quilt these blocks? It is important to start thinking about this as we near the completion of our blocks. Please be sure to let Kim know if you need any make up classes or patterns.

5D Extra Intermediate Group 1

Some simple shapes, such as triangles, circles and squares will be created as appliques with additional embroidery embellishments. We will use Express Design Creator and the built in Paint Program that comes with your computers (Vista and Windows 7 &8) to create the shapes to be digitized as appliques. If you do not have that program I will have the shapes available on a USB stick.
