Quilt Fun-da-Mentals #1–Let’s Get Started
This first class of the 12-week series (every Thursday from Sept. 4 through Nov. 20) will explain the basics of selecting and preparing fabric, cutting methods (including rotary cutting), patterns, tools needed, basic procedures, and some history of quilting. You will even learn to draft some of your own patterns. There is no need to bring anything for this first class except for pen and paper for notes. In this first class, you will be given a list of essential tools and supplies for the whole series, but you do not have to buy them all at once if you need to spread out your expenses. This series will take the beginner or intermediate quilting enthusiast through the fundamentals of quilting–from piecing blocks by various methods to binding/hemming a finished project. Each class is independent in itself if you would like to attend one or all of the classes. You are to bring your own fabrics and tools. If you have a sewing machine, please bring it. If you do not, we have classroom machines that you may use. We will have lots of FUN in these Fun-da-Mentals classes!
Class size is limited, so reserve your spot now. Sign up for the ENTIRE series, and get two classes free!

- Each strip needs to be 6 times your desired finished binding width + ¼”. (For example, if you want a finished ½” binding, you will need 3¼” strips.)
