Serger II: Serging Stitches

Expand your knowledge of Husqvarna Viking serging!  In this class we focus on threading for the 3-thread flatlock stitch, 3-thread rolled edge, and 2-thread rolled edge.  Learn about the two-thread converter, decorative threads, and use of Bulky Nylon for the  rolled edge stitches.

color for the back of the sandwich.

Viking Owner’s Class 1 Basics

This is the first lesson on how to operate your new Viking Sewing/Embroidery Machine.  We go over how to thread it, and wind your bobbin.  We identify your feet and their purposes.  We teach you how to select your stitches, and how to care for your machine.  We will sew basic functions like seams, and seam overcasting and just plain old overcasting.  We will make beautiful blind hems and sew hems in denim without breaking your needles.

Machine Basics–Viking Owner’s Class #1

Cost: If you purchased your machine from a Viking Sewing Gallery, this class is free. If not, there is a cost.

Bring your sewing machine, foot control, power cord, all of the accessories that came with your machine, owner’s manual, scissors, a spool of all-purpose sewing thread,  extra needles, paper and pen for notes, and eye glasses (if you need them).  We will provide your fabric.

If you purchased a Husqvarna Viking Designer Embroidery Machine, you can download an embroidery view known as 6D Explorer.  This class will cover the attributes of 6D Viewer, to include file conversion, thread conversion, trim stitches and more.  You must have this software downloaded onto your computer prior to class and you must know the basic functions of your computer for class (ie, how to use the mouse, pointer, start menu, etc).

If you purchased a Husqvarna Viking Designer Embroidery Machine, you can download an embroidery view known as 6D Explorer.  This class will cover the attributes of 6D Viewer, to include file conversion, thread conversion, trim stitches and more.  You must have this software downloaded onto your computer prior to class and you must know the basic functions of your computer for class (ie, how to use the mouse, pointer, start menu, etc).
