5D Owner’s Class 2

Use your 5D™ Embroidery to create an Initial Sign using the monogram wizard and Encore.  Then create a sign for your Sewing Room where you will modify fills and add frames.

Free motion quilting is the art of finishing your quilt or project with sewing lines that enhance your project.  Although you can creatively choose your own designs to free motion your quilt, this class will teach you several all-over designs to consider for your next project.  Join us to begin your Free-Motion Quilting Library of Designs.

Some skills and knowledge that you will learn in this class include:  free-motion quilting with all over designs, understanding free-motion machine feet and equipment, free-motion terms and notions.

This class is for new owners and anyone who wants a refresher on how to use 5D Extra. You’ll need to bring your laptop if you have one, an embroidery stick and your questions!

Make a gorgeous hexagon table runner, placemats or a quilt using the Hex N More ruler. You’ll need to purchase the Hex N More ruler ($23.95) and bring an assortment of 4-1/2″ or 6-1/2″ squares or strips.

Learn this fabulous technique that you can use on garments, napkins, table cloths, or anywhere you want an elegant look. Bring some wash-away stabilizer like AquaMagic and your 260×200 (or bigger) hoop.

 Learn new garment making techniques like lace insertion and entredeux in this class. Be sure to check out the gorgeous sample in the store! You can use the same pattern (Simplicity Vintage #2392) or choose your own, and you choose the size you want to make.  Please have the paper pattern pieces you need cut out for the first class, but the fabric should not be cut until the class. Join an open class on Wednesday or Thursday prior to the first class if you need help with this!

Husqvarna Viking 5D Software Class I. 5D Connect and Organizer Program

Learn how to connect your memory stick to your new Embroidery Machine and connect to your computer on the Deluxe models.

You will learn the basic organizing  software program on your laptop. We will do a overview of the 5D software and get you ready for software class..

MUST HAVE SOFTWARE LOADED on your computer

Supply list: Bring Machine,memory stick ,  Bring laptop  (if you have one) with connection cable  & mouse

Join us on Thursday, Sept 5th at 6 pm for Design Positioning

We will use Aida Cloth, Mesh Screen and position the fabric correctly in a hoop.

Also the lesson includes a design for the 350 x 360 hoop. The design can be split for smaller hoops.

Bring your laptop for the lesson and your embroidery machine if you want to do the stitchout of the design.

Husqvarna Viking 5D Software Class.

Class III: Designer Topaz 20, 30, Designer Ruby, Designer Diamond Deluxe

This class will show embroidery basics and getting to know your new machine. This will include  putting in  embroidery designs, stabilizers, hooping , threading and many other great tips on getting the most out of your new machine.

Requirement: Bring your machine, Embroidery Unit, Embroidery thread, bobbin thread, scissors and all accessories to class.
