Advanced Techniques (Diamond and Ruby): 4 Way Stitches and Saving Designs

We offer advanced classes for owners of the Diamond Deluxe, Diamond and Ruby embroidery machines.  These classes are designed to teach techniques specific to these machines, so that owners can understand and utilize all there is on these wonderful machines!

New techniques will be introduced every two months.  In the two month period, one class will be offered during the daytime, and one in the evening, so that everyone can attend; the topic will be the same for both classes.

This session’s topic technique is 4 way stitches AND Saving designs and Stitches to your Sewing/Embroidery machines.  Learn to do these techniques on your Designer Diamond/Deluxe or Ruby/Deluxe sewing machine.

What to Bring:  Sewing machine, sewing accessories, machine user guide, scissors, sewing notions.

Who should Register:  Owners of a Husqvarna Viking Diamond/Deluxe or Ruby/Deluxe Embroidery machine

Mug Rugs – Oct 31,2013

Mug Rugs… well they’re smaller than a placemat and larger than a coaster. At our house we have large mugs and are great snackers. Mug Rugs fit the bill – room for the mug and the snack. They are also great for quick Christmas gifts. We offer you 2 -3 choices on mug rugs. You’ll pick one to do for the class.

Option 1 – basic pieced mug rug. With guidance kids could make these for their teachers and friends.

Option 2  – Christmas inspire applique mug rug. You will snicker when you see this sample

Option 3   – Paper pieced mug rug.

These are listed in order of difficulty, number 1 being the easiest.

So who on your Christmas list is getting a mug rug  –  everyone; great stocking stuffers, teacher gifts, colleague gifts, secretary gifts, son-in-law gift, nieces/nephews. Anyone will enjoy their personal mug rug.

Serger Basics 2 – Oct 2013

We are finding the Hex ‘N More Ruler to be quite the versatile tool. Join Yessant as she walks you through how to use this ruler to make this fun contemporary quilt.

Open to any make and model. Students will need a 1/4″ piecing foot, the Hex”N More Ruler, Northern Lights pattern (all available at our Ypsi Gallery)

Owner 2 Basics – Decorative Stitching – Oct 2013

Let the fun begin! Learn to use your machine’s decorative stitches and how to program on your new machine.  We’ll play with wing and twin needles. Chat about different threads, play with a few. This class is the beginning of reaching your creative potential with your Husqvarna Viking Sewing machine.
