Each month we will do another exercise from the 5D™Professional Software assortment of modules.  There are plenty to chose from, so it is time we get started!  As some of you upgrade to 6D™ Premier software, we will work those into our classes, and eventually, will completely transition to 6D Premier.

You will need your laptop, loaded with your software and your dongle, and, please make sure your software has the latest update.

This month, Stitch Editor Plus will be  our focus, and we will create a tropical rainforest design.

I have my stack of exercises ready, so please come and enjoy the fun and learning!

As always, please come a little early if possible, so we can get all set up and start on time.

Bring you new machine, and we will teach you the “basics”.  Everything will be covered, including a discussion of needles, thread, maintenance, the basic techniques that can be done on your machine.

Please bring your own machine, everything that came with it, the owner’s manual, thread and scissors.

Please be on time, as it will take the whole two hours to cover the material.

Join us for a workshop on the various serger feet available to use on your serger!  S21 and S25 owners (plus 936, 905, 910 owners who already have specialty feet, as our supply is limited).  Learn together how to use your feet!  Piping foot, elastic foot, taping foot, pearl foot, blind hem/lace foot, etc.

Using the new Viking embroidery design Emb 264 (Layered Quilting with Applique), make a few blocks for a quilt or table runner during class.  While your designs are stitching out, we will discuss “quilt as you go” techniques to use in joining the blocks together.

Use a design from Viking to create quilted-in-the-hoop placemats with gorgeous thread velvet butterflies.  Easy to do, gorgeous to look at and use!

Learn to use your Join and Fold foot (a great addition to your tool kit!) to join two fabrics with raw edges AND to join a finished edge to an unfinished edge.  Create this beautiful cosmetic bag, a great gift for any occasion.  If you wish to personalize it, please speak with instructor before class for instructions (personalization must be done before class begins).

Using gorgeous velvet, velour or velveteen fabrics (or any fabric you want, including camo!), create a simple Christmas stock using self-made or purchased piping.  You can attend this class with your sewing machine OR your serger.  If you wish to embellish your stocking with embroidery, etc., please speak with instructor before class for instructions (embroidery embellishment must be done before class begins).

With ideas from heirloomcreations.com, create a beautiful wall hanging using a variety of techniques:  fused applique, decorative stitches, and our new Circular Attachment tool!  To attend this class you must have a machine that uses the circular attachment (either the new one, or the previous tool sold for earlier machines).  In class, we will create one portion of a three block quilt wall hanging (or table runner).  Have fun and bring out all your favorite fabrics!

We offer advanced classes for owners of the Diamond Deluxe, Diamond and Ruby embroidery machines.  These classes are designed to teach techniques specific to these machines, so that owners can understand and utilize all there is on these wonderful machines!

New techniques will be introduced every two months.  In the two month period, one class will be offered during the daytime, and one in the evening, so that everyone can attend; the topic will be the same for both classes.

This session’s topic technique is 4 way stitches AND Saving designs and Stitches to your Sewing/Embroidery machines.  Learn to do these techniques on your Designer Diamond/Deluxe or Ruby/Deluxe sewing machine.

Mug Rugs… well they’re smaller than a placemat and larger than a coaster. At our house we have large mugs and are great snackers. Mug Rugs fit the bill – room for the mug and the snack. They are also great for quick Christmas gifts. We offer you 2 -3 choices on mug rugs. You’ll pick one to do for the class.
