Quilt Club: Blocks 17 & 18 – Curved Piecing
Blocks 17 & 18: Curved Piecing
We are continuing with our 2012 Craftsy Block of the Month. This is month 10! Only one more and we can assemble our quilt top.
Will you machine quilt your blanket? You can use your embroidery hoop or walking foot.
These blocks are traditionally named Drunkards Path. Mastering curved piecing is this month’s lesson. There are many, many ways these blocks can be rearranged to create tons of interesting patterns.
Please request a supply list and cutting instructions when signing up for this class.
Fun/Finish Sew
Everyone has an unfinished project…come and finish it! Be it a pillow, a quilt, a jacket or bag…whatever it is, this is your chance to finish that project and visit with your fellow sewers. It’s a great way to meet new people, get sewing tips from other sewers and, oh yes…finish that project!
This class is intended to come and either finish a project that you have already started or start a new one. The projects should be something that you are familiar with and have knowledge of the project/pattern. This is not intended as a “learn to sew”.
Bring your project, sewing materials and your machine.
“Quilt It” Day
This month, instead of doing specific classes, we have decided to let you decide. Embroider It, Quilt It, Sew It…it’s up to you! The supply list will depend on what class you will be attending. A machine is, of course a must. If you, for some reason, cannot bring your machine in, please let us know and you can reserve a machine to use for the day.
Wouldn’t a nice, warm, comfy quilt be great on those cool fall and cold winter nights!
