Join our staff for a FREE demonstration of our newest HV machine. You will have the opportunity to learn what this machine can do and how it will make your free motion quilting faster and easier.

The large throat space gives you sixteen inches of space to complete a king size quilt. The smooth surface of the table allows your project to glide under the needle. The powerful motor makes quilting a snap with up to 1,500 stitches per minute. You can even choose your three favorite top speed settings on the easy-to-use color touch screen and let the HUSQVARNA VIKING® PLATINUM™ 16 quilting machine remember them. An optional TruStitch™ module is also available for consistent stitch regulation.

Quilting with Hex N More #1

photoThis will be a two part class, starting in February. It is suitable for both beginners in quilting and beyond. There will be a choice of two different Patterns to use with the Hex N More ruler: Toes in the Sand requires the purchase of the book plus the ruler. The book does have templates for various shapes and you could make your own, and Northern Lights which requires the purchase of the pattern and ruler.

“Toes in the Sand” has many types of triangles using various shapes which will add up to an unusual triangle. There are twelve different blocks, each one a puzzle with directions which will make it easy.

“Northern Lights” is fast and easy and in our class you will learn how to cut multiple layers of fabrics. We will also use a quick ” chain piecing” method which you will find makes sewing a lot faster. You will have a quilt in no time.

A sample of the Toes in the Sand triangle quilt is hanging in the gallery, and we will have a photo of the larger “Northern Lights” quilt for you to view. The actual quilt will be at the class for you to see; it is too large to display in the Gallery.

The book, pattern and Hex N More ruler along with supply list recommendations will be available at the Gallery.

Class fee includes class #1 and #2.
