This pillow can be made with any serger. While making it, you will learn how to use decorative thread and how to make the necessary tension adjustments for it, how to gather ruffles, how to make a rolled hem, and how to make serger tucks. Have fun while learning how to better use your serger, and make a lovely pillow to grace your home!

2 spools decorative thread of different colors (a heavier thread like Pearl Crown Rayon or needle punch thread works out nicely for this application)

Cut fabric into the following pieces:
1 rectangle 25” x 17” (this will be the pillow top)
2 rectangles 10” x 17” (this will be the pillow backs)
3 strips (6” x 45” (this will be the ruffle)
Bring remaining fabric scraps to class for testing.

Participants MUST know how to thread their sergers and have a basic knowledge of its operation to take this class. If you do not know how to do this, you can sign up for our Serger Basics Owner’s class.

The third class is all about putting in sleeves and hems. This class will be limited to 5 students. Each session is $15. Depending on how things go, you may not need the last session.
