Embroidery Basics was just the start.  During this Connectivity and Advanced Embroidery Class, you will customize designs and learn how to interface your machine with your computer.  You can then transfer designs to and from your computer directly to your embroidery machine. Supplies:  1/2 yard of fabric for main fabric, one 22″ zipper, 1 1/4 yards of gathered lace or can be flat, thread to match fabric, decorative thread and 2/3 yard of flat lace or ribbon. ( you don’t have to decorate, it can be make with just pretty fabric.  Bring you hanger with you to make the pattern.

The Foot of the Month Quilt is back! Block #1 – Three Hole Yarn Foot

Each month, we will complete one block using one or more specialty Viking feet. After all 12 blocks are complete, we piece and quilt it! This beautiful completed quilt was done by Judy Foster:

Join our monthly Embroidery Club and complete a project with friends!  This is a two-part project featuring a embroidery, endless hoop and embroidery a cutwork design!   Please bring your machine, embroidery arm,  power cords, and all accessories.

6D Extra and Premier has a useful program call Express Design Wizard.  This will allow you to take simple clip art and making it into an embroidery.  We’ll be discussing each of the different steps to creating  your own design.

Stitch Editor Plus is a program that can be purchased as an add on to 6D Embroidery or it is included in 6D Premier.  Not only can this program cut a design apart, it can create appliques or patches, change fills and so much more.

We’re using the rolled edge to finish off the woven strips for your checkbook cover.  Once you have woven the cover for your checkbook we’ll switch over to a 4 thread overlock to assemble your project.  This class focuses on creating a beautiful rolled edge and being able to convert your machine back to 4 thread overlock.

We’re going to practice our applique technique making a simple sunflower block that we’ll then adhere to the bottom of a glass plate.  Learn to use an open toe and flat trim foot while making your project.  We’ll also show you the best stitches to use for your project.  I can’t wait to make some of these as gifts!

Our 6D Premier (5D Professional) systems have a complete digitizing program that is called Design Creator.  You can  create designs using the built in Wizard or using the manual tools for more intricate designs.  Why be limited to what someone else designed?

This class is designed as a follow up to the basic 6D Embroidery class.  We’ll be exploring the Wizard functions in 6D and 5D Embroidery.  The wizards make your embroidery creation much easier than in the past.

Must have taken 6D Embroidery basic classes.
