This class is for all Viking and Singer sewing machines.
In this class, students will become familiar with their machine and machine accessories. Students will learn how to clean their machine, what needles and thread to use for different fabrics, how to thread machine and wind a bobbin, how to select and adjust stitches for different types of fabric and sewing techniques, how to sew a blind hem, seam overcast and buttonhole.

This class is for adults wishing to learn basic sewing skills. You will learn about Fabrics, notions and “tools of the trade”, as well as basic sewing machine use, while Creating a basic garment. It is never too late to learn a skill that will last a lifetime. Viking Sewing Machines are provided in the classroom.
In this first four week session you will create a drawstring tote bag and pajama pant. You can then sign up to continue your learning with another four week session where you will create a top with set in sleeves, the instructors are available to help pick your pattern and give advice on fabric choices.
Further continuation of this series will teach you to put in a zipper, a great skill to learn that can be applied to clothing as well as tote bags and pillows. After completion of this series of classes you may continue to enjoy your new found or refreshed sewing skills completing garments or projects of your choice with the teachers available for assistance when you need them.

Connectivity and Advanced Embroidery
Embroidery Basics was just the start. During this Connectivity and Advanced Embroidery Class, you will customize designs and learn how to interface your machine with your computer. You can then transfer designs to and from your computer directly to your embroidery machine (Diamond Royal and Ruby). Or save on your USB stick. Please bring your embroidery machine, all accessories, embroidery arm and your computer if it is a laptop.

This class gives you basic instructions on how to achieve beautiful embroidery using your 5D software. Please bring your laptop, mouse, dongle.

Have you ever wanted to put those specialty feet to use but weren’t sure how? Join us in making this wonderful quilt and you will learn how to use 12 different feet and attachments. Our first class is an organizational class. We will discuss fabric choices in preparation for the blocks we will be making and supplies needed. Sewing will begin in April.
We have finally finished all the blocks for our Block of the Month and now it is time to assemble it into a quilt top. Bring all of your blocks to class. If you are opting to add sashing strips bring your precut fabric (instructions to follow) or cut it at class. For those of you that have missed a month or two, please contact Kim at 571-434-7535 so that we can arrange for you to get caught up.
Viking Club is for everyone who owns a Viking Sewing or Embroidery Machine.
Viking Club is were you come out and meet other Viking owners like yourself, and the staff at the gallery will demo a new or old foot, machine, or introduce new product for the machines.
