Viking Embroidery Owners Class 1

Using your new sewing machine will be so much fun once you learn how to use all of its features! This class is just the beginning of the wonderful world of Husqvarna Viking embroidery! You will have a basic knowledge of how to achieve beautiful embroidery when done with class! You will learn how to set it up for embroidery,  load a design onto the machine, determine the appropriate stabilizers, hoop the project, and  stitch out the design.

Serger Owners Class 1

That funny looking machine with all of the threads can be so enjoyable to use after you learn the basics.  In this class, you will learn how to thread your serger, balance the stitch,  serge a rolled hem, change the needles, and care for it.  Don’t let it intimidate you.  Once you master these techniques, you can serge miles and miles of stitches to make gorgeous things.  Join us in this class to overcome your fears and/or frustration of using your serger.

Make a beautiful monogrammed potpourri bag using the heirloom techniques!  This class is designed for everyone – those who don’t have a machine at all, those who have solely a sewing machine, and even the Pros with top of the line embroidery machines!  Everyone will have fun and learn new techniques!

You will need 9” x 25” white linen fabric, white thread, white lace hemtape, embroidery thread in the color of your choice, 1/8” ribbon to match the embroidery thread, stabilizer and a wing needle.  The embroidery thread, stabilizer and wing needle are available in our Viking Sewing Gallery.  Please make sure the supplies marked are truly white.  If they are not, you will not be able to do the techniques.
