In part 1 we will be creating the “lolly” flowers and in part 2 we will be completing the block.
In block 5, you will make three circle flowers and “lolly” flowers
using your Circular Attachment. The three circle flowers will be
finished with a satin stitch and the “lolly” flowers will be turned,
pressed and topstitched in place. The stems are made using bobbin
work, with your Specialty Bobbin Case and the leaves are then
appliquéd in place.
In part 1 we will be creating the “lolly” flowers and in part 2 we will be completing the block.
In block 5, you will make three circle flowers and “lolly” flowers
using your Circular Attachment. The three circle flowers will be
finished with a satin stitch and the “lolly” flowers will be turned,
pressed and topstitched in place. The stems are made using bobbin
work, with your Specialty Bobbin Case and the leaves are then
appliquéd in place.
Learn how to position your designs perfectly, even if you hoop it crooked. Also we will bring in stitches from the sewing side and explore the shaping options on the Diamond.

The finished quilt will be approximately 49″L x 40″W. We use 6 different fabrics. Each bloc gives specific fabric, notions, feet, accessories and cutting requirements as well as insrtuctions to make each block. We will start with Block 1 of 12.
Block 2 – is using the Gimping Foot to crate dimensional sation stitch technique. Also using Open Toe Foot or Clear Open Toe Foot to stitch decorative stitch around the leaves.
Bring sewing machine and feet if you already own them or you can try them during class. Also bring scraps of fabric and thread colors to try the technique.
