Use the Multi-line decorative Foot to create even spacing borders with decorative stitches or as a guide when sewing Omnimotion and side-motion stitches. Guidelines are provided for accurately turning corners of ¼” (6 mm) and ½” (12 mm) measurements.

Embroidery Club 267 – Cutwork Pillow and Wrap By Kathy Bond

An elegant, decorative pillow will dress up a room like nothing else. Enjoy stitching out one of the new Appliqué Cutwork designs to make this showstopper. We used lightweight moleskin for the pillow base to add decadent texture then topped it with the embroidered classic white linen wrap. The white sparkle organza in the design’s appliqué areas are a subtle but lovely detail. Add some crystal buttons and you’re all set!
Filled with fabulous appliqué cutwork designs, including endless and cut edge designs, this collection has been created to be used with the Embroidery Cutwork Needle Kit as well as the Mega Endless Hoop 260×150/10”x6”.

Let’s do a little Christmas Cross Stitch.  We will go over the basic in Cross Stitch then create a small corner for bread liners and a large monogram for a tray or small pillow.

This class meets every Wednesday from 10 to 12:30.You pick the project — quilting, embroidery or garment making — and Karen will work with you to create it. You can use one of our machines, or bring your own. Please bring all supplies listed for your pattern and basic sewing kit (scissors, thread, ruler, etc.).  These classes are tons of fun and very inspirational!  Class fee:  $10

• 1/3 yd. fabric for bodice
• Matching sewing thread
• 1 yard ½” wide gathered lace for neck and sleeves
• 1 yard 1/8” ribbon  (IT CANNOT BE WIDER!)

Bring a Friend!  Lace Ornaments

Learn how to make lace on your Husqvarna Viking Sewing and Embroidery machine!  These beautiful lace ornaments make great Christmas gifts, too!  This is a great class to come to if you or a friend is interested in a new sewing and embroidery machine.  You will go home with a beautiful finished product!

You will need embroidery thread of your choice.  You can choose from Rayon for a very thin, delicate ornament or 30 wt. Cotton for a softer, but thicker ornament.  Please make sure to bring a bobbin to wind your thread on if you choose a different color than white  You will also need Aqua Magic stabilizer and your 120 x 120 hoop if you already own a machine.  All of these things are available here at the Viking Sewing Gallery, so if you are a guest and just trying out embroidery in this class, just bring yourself!

Intertwining letters for a pretty monogram, very interesting look.  Use a frame to make a nice “Friends are quiet Angels” saying for a wall hanging or a towel.  Create some card inserts with Express Design Wizard.

Create a small bag to use as an evening bag or cosmetic bag in Design Creator.  We will make an all-over design on one side and change to include a monogram on the other side in Stitch Editor.

This months block uses a cool foot that you can join edges of you fabric to trims: Ribbon, Lace, etc. to wonderful effect. Block 10 of 12.

Easier than you think!  Learn the basics of putting in a zipper.  Please bring your machine & all accessories, zipper & thread.

This is a class series that features a different foot for your Husqvarna Viking sewing machine each month until we have a total of 12 blocks to put together in a quilt. The complete quilt is finished and hanging in the Gallery so that you can see what it will look like. Sign up early as the class will fill up quickly.
