Sewing Machine Maintenance

Come learn how to clean out your machine and maintain your machine. You will experience taking apart your machine and changing your needle!

Make your first project on your machine! Learn how to use your decorative stitches and review the things you learned in Owner’s Class 1. Please bring white all-purpose thread. After taking Owner’s Class 1, everyone needs to take this class before signing up for any other classes.

Come learn about your machine! This class covers machine operation and maintenance! Everyone needs to take this class first, before signing up for any other classes.

Now that you have a new Viking or Singer sewing machine, it’s time to plug it in and start sewing! But first, come to this free class to learn how to wind a bobbin, thread the machine and sew a straight line. Bring your sewing machine, power cord, foot control, all accessories, owner’s manual, colored all purpose thread and scissors.

6D is here! And several of you already own it. It is time to start at learning the ins and outs of this new system.

We will plunge into the Design Creator, create a design, and then add to it. This is an interactive lesson using more than one module of the program.

We will customize a design for the Majestic Hoop that you can choose to make into a face for a clock!  You will be creating this design with Design shaping with Design Angle. You will get directions so you can go home and sew it out.

You need to own a Diamond or Diamond Deluxe. Cost is 10 dollars and we will need 3 people to sign up for class.

Make a quilted holiday casserole carrier while learning to use a Walking foot.

During this class we will practice free motion and binding and talk about how to put your quilt together.

This is part 1 of a 2 part class. To sign up for this class you must also sign up for part 2 on 11/11/13 at 11:00, and you must attend both parts. This class is designed for students who like to work at a slower pace, so we will complete the block in 2 sessions.

The next block in the fall pattern is a pilgrim hat with leaves.

We offer advanced classes for owners of the Diamond Deluxe, Diamond and Ruby embroidery machines.  These classes are designed to teach techniques specific to these machines, so that owners can understand and utilize all there is on these wonderful machines!

New techniques will be introduced every two months.  In the two month period, one class will be offered during the daytime, and one in the evening, so that everyone can attend; the topic will be the same for both classes.

This session’s topic technique is 4 way stitches AND Saving designs and Stitches to your Sewing/Embroidery machines.  Learn to do these techniques on your Designer Diamond/Deluxe or Ruby/Deluxe sewing machine.
