Come join Lisa to learn the easiest techniques for free motion quilting. Finish your own projects instead of paying to have them done!
Supplies:
- Free Motion Foot – can be open toe free motion, spring action free motion foot or any other free motion foot. Lisa prefers the open toe because it is easy to see where she is going next. Use whichever you are comfortable with. We can lend you one to try.
- Four 18″ x 18″ Quilt Sandwiches – Each quilt sandwich will consist of a top fabric (cotton, plain in color), batting of any kind and a backing fabric (cotton).
- Thread – should be a stark contrast to your top fabric and one that is similar to your top fabric.
- Topstitch Needle – for sewing machine
Lisa uses quilting gloves or a Free Motion Guide Grip to hold her quilt sandwich while she is quilting. If you have these items, bring them. Lisa will bring a regular needle and thread to baste the quilt sandwich or if you prefer you can use safety pins or spray baste.
