Owners’ Class Two

Decorative Sewing

In this class you will learn how to use your decorative stitches and how to program your machine. Please bring your machine, accessories, power cord and foot pedal and machine user’s guide.

 

  • To make the tote you will need bring Cotton fabric – 1/2 yard OR 2 fat quarters
  • Fusible interfacing -1 piece 12″ x 20″
  • Decorative thread (make sure the thread color will show up nicely on your fabric. You want the thread to stand out, not blend in. The cotton blendables we sell look great!

 

Prior to class (at home)

 

  • Cut from fabric – 1 piece 12″ x 21″ (outside of tote)
  • Cut from fabric – 1 piece 12″ x 21″ (lining of tote)
  • Cut from fabric – 2 piece 3″ x 21″ (handles of tote)

 

Iron the fusible interfacing to the wrong side (backside) of the outside fabric

 

You must have your fabrics precut and the fusing complete so that the class can begin on time.
