This runner using scraps, any 4-5inch squares sewed together in a zig and a zag configuration. You could choose seasonal fabric or just mix it up and go with it.

Your Husqvarna Viking sewing machine; scraps of fabric; 1/4″ piecing foot; stitch in the ditch foot, batting and backing.
