In this first class, you will be concentrating on cutting and piecing the blocks together. In future classes, you will put the blocks together, and discuss strategies to back and finish your quilt. These classes will teach you various techniques for making triangular blocks. There will be some “homework.”
Supplies include: machine, new needles, cotton sewing thread and bobbins, Toes in the Sand Book, Hex N More ruler, rotary cutter and mat (we do have mats at the store, but you need your own rotary cutter), and fabric. (You will need four or five different prints; fat quarters are fine; or look in book.) Joan requests that you precut strips according to the directions for blocks 1,2,and 3. If you have any questions, you can leave a message for Joan at the store.
First Class is September 17, 6-8:30 PM. Cost is $10, plus book and ruler.
