Make a lovely make-up bag as a gift for that special someone in our December class. The yarn embellishment foot magically glides over the fabric moving in four directions with the special stitches designed just for this foot. (You downloan them with directions below.) This lined make-up bag will also use an exposed zipper technique and “boxing” corners if you want to learn how to do these sewing methods. Join us in class and have some holiday fun. Class fee is $15.
Supply List
- One 12” square of outside fabric (or whatever size you want to make. It can be larger or smaller. The store sample was a 12” square.)
- One 12” square of Tear A-Way stabilizer (or same size as your square for your bag)
- One 12” square of pre-quilted fabric for lining —-OR—-quilt your own with a square of lining fabric and a square of batting with stitches about 1½” apart. The serpentine stitch is pretty, and you don’t have to sew exactly straight. J
- One skein of Spangle yarn or any yarn that is knitted—not just twisted. It has to be small enough to fit through the hole of the yarn embellishment foot. Joann’s has Spangle yarn available online. (www.joann.com/premier-spangle-yarn/11678764.html) They have Paton’s Metallic yarn that will also work and is available in the stores in blue, mauve, black, burgundy, silver, and gray at $6.99/skein.

If you signed up for this class but later find that you will be unable to attend, please let us know well in advance. If there are too few to sign up, we reserve the right to cancel the class. Your machine must be in good working order, and you must know the basics of how to operate it before coming to this class.
