Learn how to applique with raw edges using reinforced stitches and free motion quilting.
Supplies needed:
Sewing machine
Free motion foot
background fabric (at least 12×12 inch pieces)
scraps of fabric (3×3 in. and larger) for flowers and stems
thread to match, blend or contrast
cotton or cotton/poly batting (pieces to fit your background fabric)
**Make sure you have a variety of light, medium and dark fabrics. You can even use
old T-shirts to cut out your applique pieces.
