Sew Young Sew Fun–Summer Shorts

Begin learning to sew by making these drawstring summer shorts, perfect for school.   From this project you will learn how to:

  • Learn to read a pattern and follow printed directions.
  • Measure and cut a pattern.
  • Sew straight seams and apply a seam finish.
  • Sew and turn a drawstring.
  • Make buttonholes.
  • Sew a casing and insert the drawstring.
  • Sew a topstitched hem.

There is limited seating so reserve your spot early.

Bring your own sewing machine to use if it is in good working condition.  We will provide the machine, otherwise.
