Serger Club – Blouse

We will be making a blouse this month.  This is a simple, pull over, short sleeved, blouse made with woven fabric.  We want to make this out of a light weight woven fabric.  Batiste is a great choice.  However, if you are not sure of your size/fit, then I strongly suggest you purchase a light weight muslin to make the blouse the first time. I found two patterns that are the correct style:  McCalls M6927 (style C without the underlining) and Simplicity 8523 (style A).  In addition to these two patterns I have some Martha Pullen Blouse patterns for sale.

Supplies:
Husqvarna/Viking Serger set up for a 3 thread narrow edge.
4 cones of thread to match your fabric
Scissors/pins/thread snips/double eyed needle
one button, 8-10 mm
The amount of fabric needed is based on the size of your blouse
Please cut out your blouse before coming to class.  Cut only the Front (on the fold) , Back (on the fold) and Sleeves.  If you don’t know how to do this please contact Kim at the store.
Bring all your left over fabric to class
