Quilt Fun-da-Mentals #6–Piecing Curves

In class #6 you will learn how to sew curved designs while making a Drunkard’s Path block.

 

Supply List:

  • Fat quarter or piece of one dark solid fabric
  • Fat quarter or piece of one print fabric
  • Sewing machine with foot control and power cord
  • Fabric cutting scissors  (*Available in the Viking Sewing Gallery)
  • Rotary Cutter (optional)  (*Available in the Viking Sewing Gallery)
  • Sewing thread
  • Sewing pins
  • Pin cushion or Grabbit
  • Glue stick
  • Basic sewing kit

Ask for the pattern template prior to class, make your pattern, and cut out your pieces before coming to class.  You can pick it up at the Viking Sewing Gallery or we can e-mail it to you by request.  You will use these supplies to make your pattern at home.

  • Plain copy paper—1 sheet
  • ¼” grid graph paper
  • 12″  ruler or seam gauge
  • Mechanical pencil or pencil with sharp lead
  • Lightweight cardboard (like a cereal box)
  • Glue stick
  • Paper cutting scissors
