Make a cute skirt for school or church by sewing panels of fabric and lace together. Learn how to finish the edges of seams to prevent raveling, and make a casing for an elastic waistband in the back of the skirt.
Supply List
- ½ yd. denim
- ¼ yd. lace or other fabric for the inverted pleats
- All-Purpose sewing thread to match (Gutermann or Metler is recommended for best results.)
- 2 buttons
- ½” wide elastic
- Sewing machine (unless you are using one of our classroom machines)
- Basic Sewing Kit (be sure that you have a ruler and an erasable fabric marker that can be seen on your fabric.)
- Large safety pin
