The 8-WAY PILLOWCASE is made with a feature exclusive on the top-of-the-line Designers. The staggered border is composed on-screen with programming and the side-stitching feature–it is not made with the embroidery unit. Learn how to make a unique border in class and then use it on other items by using your imagination with different stitches to make other designs. The combinations are endless….and they all started with this class!
In order for us to start class on time, please arrive 5-10 minutes before class is to begin to allow you to have time to set up.
If you signed up for this class but later find that you will be unable to attend, please let us know well in advance so that we can call a person on our waiting list to take your place. If there are too few to sign up, we reserve the right to cancel the class. Your machine must be in good working order, and you must know the basics of how to operate it before coming to this class. Also, please be kind to those with fragrance sensitivity by refraining from wearing colognes and perfumes. Thank you.

Please note: If you are not using a Designer Diamond/deLuxe, you must use a different stitch than was used on the sample because that stitch is exclusive to the Diamond/deLuxe.

- Sewing machine with foot control, power cord, accessories that came with the machine and User’s Guide
- 7/8 yd. fabric for the body of the pillowcase (see below)
- 3/8 yd. solid fabric for the border
- 1 spool of 40 wt. rayon embroidery thread
- Bobbin wound with bobbin thread
- All-purpose sewing thread to match pillowcase fabric
- Bobbin wound with all-purpose sewing thread

(These fabric requirements make a standard sized pillowcase. If you want to make a king- or queen-sized pillowcase, you will need more.)
Participants of the class must have taken the Machine Basics #1 and Decorative Stitching #2 Owner’s Classes prior to attending this class. The machine must be in good working order, also.
