Rag Quilt (Front)                                                                                                                 Rag Quilt (Back)

This is a great class to learn and use your Circular Attachment that you purchased at our Viking Sewing Gallery.  If you have not purchased a Circular Attachment, we have them available for your Husqvarna Viking Sewing machine.

You do not have to have a Husqvarna Viking sewing machine to attend this class or a circular attachment.  A circular attachment makes the quilt easier to do, but is not necessary.

Supplies:

  • 2 yds of front fabric (flannel is best)
  • 2 yds of backing fabric (flannel is best)
  • 2 yds of flannel for batting (middle)
  • Basic sewing supplies

Optional Equipment:

  • Walking foot
  • Circular attachment
  • Quilters table
  • Rag quilt strips

Cut:

Cut all fabric into 10 1/2″ squares, if you have a circular attachment, cut all fabric into 10″ circles using your circular attachment.

Prepare and Assemble Before Class:

1.  Position one 10 1/2″ backing square (or circle) right side down on a table.

2.  Place one 10 1/2″ batting square (or circle) on top of backing.

3.  Place one 10 1/2″ top square (or circle) right side up on top of the other two.

4.  Make additional square (or circle) sandwiches.

5.  Mark center of each circle or square sandwiches.
